How to choose the right pulley?

However, in the case of structures using drive belts, appropriate operation will be necessary for their efficient operation pulleys - driven and passive. Pulleys for flat belts

In the case of flat belts, the pulleys operate by frictional engagement between the circumferential surface of the pulley and the inside of the belt. The most important parameters of this type of wheels will be theirs diameter and width. It will also be important profile - in many cases, the surface of the wheel changes its geometry and its central part has a slightly larger circumference than at the edges, which prevents the belt from slipping. Pulleys for V-belts
